Shenandoah Camping

We were welcomed to our weekend of camping and hiking in the Shenandoah with a good layer of snow on the ground - and on our campsite. Word to the wise: sleeping on a frozen layer of ice and snow is not fun, and there's no way you'll ever get warm. Chalk it up as one of the most miserable nights of my life. The following day, we hiked one of the more beautiful hikes I've ever done, with the colorful autumn leaves falling on the white snow. The next night, we swallowed our pride and stayed in a wonderful warm lodge with hot showers, warm blankets, and all the central heat we could want! It's all about the adventure! :)
